If the product is being installed internally, allow the boards to acclimatise for 48 hours to avoid warping or expansion. If installing externally, it is essential to ensure there is good ventilation between the wall and the product.

1. Use studs (metal, wood or bamboo) to attach the bamboo and evenly space with an optimal distance of 465mm (center of stud to center of stud) to reduce waste.

2. Fix the boards with screws or finishing nails, according to the stud material. For ceiling applications use construction adhesive for extra hold.

3. When installing the first board, start from the bottom and complete the first row making sure every board is perfectly level. This will prevent issues further along in the process.

4. Treat all cut ends with recommended varnish for further protection.

5. Use suitable trims to finish.

Storage

Bamboo Co Eco-Shield External/Internal Wall & Ceiling boards should be stored inside, raised above the ground (on a level pallet), horizontally, in a dry, clean, pest free location.

(Defects caused by improper storage, will not be covered by the warranty)

Maintenance

Bamboo Co Eco-Shield External Wall & Ceiling is a natural product, therefore the appearance (color and grain) can vary. The boards texture and color will change over time, depending on the climate and customers chosen maintenance schedule.

Cleaning your Eco-Shield Wall & Ceiling boards regularly will maintain its appearance and longevity. (Do not use a pressure washer)

1. Regularly dust or brush: To avoid a build-up of debris which will look unsightly but also risk scratching the surface.
2. Interior: Use a damp cloth (not excessively wet) to clean the surface. Use mild soapy warm water or a wood cleaner designed for bamboo or wood surfaces. Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach as this will damage the surface.
3. Exterior: Use a soft bristle brush and warm soapy water or a mild wood cleaner designed for bamboo or wood. Do not use harsh chemicals or bleach as this will damage the surface.
4. Dry : Allow to air dry completely.
5. Apply Woca Oil: To further protect the bamboo from moisture and UV damage, you can apply an external bamboo decking oil (we recommend Woca Oil - please refer to our full giude for further information)
